Sydney
Harbour Southside Tour – Tour Code SH1
See some
of the spots that the big tour operators ignore. By the end of the day we hope
that you will feel like you have made a new friend.
We
pick you up from your hotel and head east through the bohemian Kings Cross to
the wonderful small garden in front of Elizabeth Bay House for our first taste
of Sydney’s harbour-side gems.
We
continue on to Rushcutter's Bay and see the yachts moored in the marina, home to
the famous Sydney to Hobart blue water classic.
The
intimate McKell Park on Darling Point gives us a wonderful vista of the harbour.
Then we make our way to Double Bay. You can either cruise the shops of this very
elegant precinct or sit in a street café for coffee.
Blackburn
Gardens at Point Piper are beautifully maintained and lead down to further views
of the water and the harbour shores.
We
then climb “heartbreak hill” (don’t panic - our coach does the climbing!)
for spectacular views of the Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. Then down the
hill to the harbour foreshore of Nielsen Park where we stroll to the waters edge
under the huge fig trees.
Our
next stop is beautiful Watson’s Bay. Here there is the choice of sunning
yourself in the garden of the famous hotel, viewing the sandstone cliffs of the
Gap, or strolling along the harbour foreshore and beach.
Our
final stop is on the cliff top park adjacent to Macquarie Lighthouse for views
of the ocean to the east and the city to the west. Manly Beach and North Head
can be seen to the north.
You
will be ready to relax back at your hotel after what we believe is Sydney’s
best harbour foreshore tour.

Northern Beaches
Tour – Tour Code
NB1
See some of Sydney's famous
sandy beaches.
We
pick you up from your hotel and head
north across the Harbour Bridge,
through some of the wealthy suburbs such as Mosman, then over the famous Spit
Bridge.
The view of the harbour and
north and south head from Dobroyd Head is spectacular so we spend some time here
letting you get your bearings. You can see the tops of the city skyscapers to
the south, the Pacific Ocean to the east and the beaches and headlands to the
north.
We head down to Manly, the
start of Sydney's northern beaches, via the very pretty harbour side roads of
Fairlight.
At Long Reef we usually see
some hang gliders 'surfing' the air above the rock platform. We continue north
through the beach suburbs of Narrabeen, Newport, Bilgola and Avalon. We are
right on the coast for much of this section so we see lots of sand and surf. At
Whale Beach we take the road up to the top of the hill for a spectacular view of
Palm Beach and Barrenjoey Head.
We descend to Palm beach where
you can stroll on the beach or have a coffee and snack.
On our way back south we take
in some fine views of Pittwater where many of Sydney's fine yachts are moored.
We also go right down to the water at Bilgola Beach, one of the gems of Sydney
beaches.
We continue south with a stop
in Dee Why with its wonderful collection of cafes next to the beach-side park.
Then its back on the bus for the ride home to the
big smoke! You will arrive at your hotel with great memories and hopefully
plenty of photos of your day at Sydney's northern beaches.
